♾️ We at Manushya Foundation [TAG Manushya] are officially leaving X or what we used to call Twitter. For many years since we began our work, Twitter served as a vital platform for grassroots movements like ours. It helped amplify voices in a manner that would have been impossible otherwise. It helped us break down geographical and societal barriers to spotlight global injustices and foster solidarity across borders.

🚨 But that was Twitter. X is a different platform now. Since its acquisition in 2022, we have witnessed how Twitter has transformed into a cesspit where racism, techbro toxic masculinity, transphobia and voices of digital dictatorship flourish. As advocates for human rights, we cannot in good conscience contribute to a platform that not only permits but amplifies these narratives.

✊ Even though we are leaving Twitter, we will continue our work off this platform. Manushya Foundation remains dedicated to fighting for a digital environment where everyone can express themselves freely and safely.
