Education Is the Key to A Brighter Future!

On 24 January, we celebrated Education Day! Education is a fundamental human right that everyone should have access to. Education is a powerful weapon as it can transform our lives by enabling us to live our dreams. Educating future generations and giving them the opportunity to express themselves is the only way we can eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities and ultimately achieve sustainable development.

BUT - with Covid-19 affecting the lives of 1.6 billion students in over 190 countries, deepening the digital education divide; Now more than ever is the time to promote access to free and equal education for all and work towards more inclusive, safe and sustainable societies.

We call on governments all around the world to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Education offers children a ladder out of poverty and a path to a promising future; so let’s make sure every child gets one!
