#EndFGM šŸ“£ On the International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Manushya Foundation stands in solidarity with all survivors of this abhorrent practice!

šŸ“ While not as well documented as in Africa, FGM, a surgical procedure partially or fully removing female external genitalia, is present in Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia but even the South of Thailand. Education is of paramount importance in tackling the FGM: raising awareness about the health implications can truly help eliminate the practice and new evidence also shows that the general level of education might be a factor in moving away from FGM.

āœŠ No person with a vagina should be subject to this form of physical and emotional violence! To all survivors of FGM:

We see you šŸ’—

We hear you šŸ’—

We accept you šŸ’—

We love you šŸ’—
