Welcome to the final installment of our #FundingJustice series! Today, we delve into the transformative initiative led by Majority World actors, whose voices and recommendations are pivotal for creating just, inclusive, and equitable development practices.


In our previous posts, we've discussed Manushya Foundation’s strategic efforts in decolonizing and decentralizing grant-making. By shifting power dynamics and placing decision-making in the hands of local communities, we aim to ensure that resources reach those who need them most. Our journey has been about challenging the traditional power imbalances perpetuated by mainstream funding institutions and creating a more equitable system.


Majority World actors have taken a significant step forward by creating the Majority World Letter. This letter provides essential recommendations on how convening spaces for locally-led development should be organized. It aims to ensure that these spaces are inclusive, accessible, and respectful of the local cultures and contexts they serve.
