#MarriageEquality: Why is equal marriage important?
❓ Have you ever wondered what rights would heterosexual people lose if the LGBTIQ+ community's right to marry and start a family was finally recognized?
❌ The answer is - none! Heterosexual couples will not be deprived of any rights if #MarriageEquality becomes a reality! So what makes some of them, especially the government, against our call for #MarriageEquality so much?
The amendment of the Marriage Equality Bill (Section 1448) will:
✅ Recognize the marriage of couples regardless of their gender identity, sexuality, and expression;
✅ Recognize LGBTIQ+ couples as a 'Married Couple' instead of just 'Partner' in legal marital status;
✅ Ensure access to the couple's state welfare (Tax deductions, Government pensions, Emergency medical decisions on behalf of the spouse, etc.)
🔴 The Civil Partnership Bill creates nothing but a second-class citizen status for the LGBTIQ+ people! Everyone should be treated equally and receive the same protection under the same law, not a separate one. LGBTIQ+ people demand equal treatment and not special treatment!
