3 protesters from the Thalugaz group attempted suicide reflecting Thailand's Justice System that is rotten to the Core! 🚨 On June 16, 11 members of Thalugaz protesters were arrested during a protest in Din Daeng district. They were accused of setting fire to a police vehicle, and they denied the charge.

On June 27, it was reported that Palapol (20 years old), one of the 11 members of Thalugaz protesters who were arrested, overdosed on paracetamol painkiller pills due to stress from living in the prison. The other two members of the Thalugaz group also used tin cans to protest against the court's dismissal of bail, resulting in dozens of slits in their arms!

It was reported that they're all in a safe condition now, but if the lawyers from the TLHR did not visit Thalugaz protesters that day, we wouldn't know what happened inside the prison! We may not be able to save their lives in time. Tomorrow the Thalugaz group will send a letter stating their members who tried to commit suicide in prison to expedite the examination of the government officials in ensuring the right to bail and prisoners’ safety.

❌ Denying the activists' bail without legitimate grounds reiterates how the Thai authorities do not respect the right to a fair trial! The act also constitutes a breach of the presumption of innocence! The right to temporary release is a fundamental right to which all accused in a criminal suit should be entitled!
