As we mark World Day of Social Justice, we must confront the devastating consequences of the recent #USAID funding cuts. These cuts are not just numbers on a budget—they are a direct attack on democracy, human rights, and social justice.

✊ USAID Cuts = A Wake-Up Call to Decolonizing Power & Reclaiming Our Future!

🟰 Oppression and inequality are not accidental—they are designed. These funding cuts are part of a broader global shift that prioritizes corporate and elite interests over justice, equality, and human rights. Economic, political, and social systems have been engineered to exclude and oppress women, gender-diverse individuals, Indigenous Peoples, and racialized communities of the Global Majority.

🏆 Intersectional feminism is the only path to true justice. We cannot win the fight for social justice without dismantling patriarchy, colonialism, classism, and racism. We must recognize these intersecting oppressions and develop radical solutions that power those most affected.

♀️ Patriarchy and white supremacy thrive on silencing voices. Women and gender-diverse people already face systemic disadvantages—and these injustices multiply when combined with race, caste, and class oppression. Their leadership must be at the forefront of rewriting the rules and creating a truly just world.

✊ Today, we honor all the powerful Feminist and Human Rights Defenders of the Global South—those risking everything to fight for equality, liberation, and justice. With USAID defunding feminist and decolonial movements, their survival is at risk. We must fight back—on our own terms!

💡 Social justice isn’t a dream—it’s a demand. If governments won’t fund our movements, we must fund ourselves, mobilize globally, and reclaim our power. We must build from the Global Majority, for the Global Majority!
